Rodney Earl Wofford appeals from denial by the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. We affirm. Wofford pled guilty to second degree murder in the Circuit Cort of Nassau County, Florida for the multiple stabbing of his girlfriend. He now seeks relief pursuant to 28 U.S.C. Â§ 2254 on the ground that he was denied effective assistance of counsel when he accepted the prosecution's offer of a thirty-year sentence. The district court referred the petition to the magistrate for a hearing and recommendation as provided in 28 U.S.C. Â§ 636(b)(1).
